March 6, 2009

sportsbook-logo-200x100Betting sites are currently in the process of putting the betting odds out into the public eye for the upcoming National Heads Up Championship, due to take place this weekend.

Various sites are placing different odds on who they feel will walk away from the felt with the trophy in hand.

Noticeably Bodog have placed Chris “Jesus” Ferguson at 22/1 odds favourate, with Phil Ivey (25/1), Tom “durrrr” Dwan (25/1), Daniel Negreanu (25/1) and Vanessa Selbst (25/1) all close behind.

When looking at the odds offered by SportsBook, they have a different take on who they feel will walk away the victor placing Phil Ivey as their odds favourate placing him at 20/1.

One thing is for sure, with the huge number of highly regarded poker stars sitting at the felts this weekend, the victor could be any of them!

Just look at the line up of the battles which will be fiece to say the least:

One thing that is to be said for the line up is that placing your bets on your favoured player will involve shopping about for the best price, with so many big names in there book makers don’t know where to place the odds.

Looking about some of the published odds Howard Lederer has been placed at 50/1 to win the tournament at Bodog, thatsGambling feel that the odds there could very well be worth a few quid placing.
