Ernest Scherer III – Pro Poker Player Turns Murderer

February 27, 2009

It has today been reported that a professional poker player has commited a double murder.

Ernest Scherer III has today been charged with the double murder of his parents.

The motive is thought to be the $1.5 million which he will now inherit from the death of his parents.

On looking into Scherer, the Hendon Mob Database, revealed that the player had won $300,000 in poker winnings.

Scherer’s parents were found battered and stabbed in their home approximately 7 days after their death.

Sgt. Scott Dudek, the officer in charge of the investigation said that the youngster was in a:

“desperate financial situation.”

Dudek also added that Scherer:

“did not appear to show much emotion about the deaths, but he was more interested in seeing the will.”

Scherer’s father had thought that he was addicted to gambling, telling his own father that he thought Ernest was a compulsive gambler.

Do you think that Scherer should be allowed to carry the tag of been a ‘professional’ poker player?

We have all had our low moments in the game, but this is taking things to the extreme!?

Why do you say he did it when it hasn’t gone to trial yet? Innocent until proven guilty??? Why not state facts…he was arrested and charged for the crime, he has not been found guilty yet.
