When the $25,000 buy in was announced for the Full Tilt Poker Heads Up Championship, many players thought that the player pool would house some of the biggest names in poker but the fact is that there were more amatuars that entered than their were professionals.
The tournament did attract some professional poker players though, with names like Erick Lindgren and Tom ‘Durrr’ Dwan joining the field.
The tournament attracted 63 players, facing each player off against one opponent per table.
The battles that were played at the virtual felts offered a great sense of excitement, with heads up poker been a fast paced game as standard.
The best perform for the professional elite that entered the tournament was David Benefield, who placed in second behind THEASHMAN103, taking home a great return of $315,000 for his inital buy in of $25,000.
THEASHMAN103 played a great day of poker, beating out professionals and amatuers alike, with cards falling exactly how he needed in order to take the winners spot, placing his claim on the $551,250 first prize.
